“If it feels good, do it”
I was a senior in highschool in leadership class, when I first heard this quote. We were all talking about adding a quote underneath our pictures in the yearbook and what we would chose. Our teacher who must have been only 25 at the time told us not to pick anything ridiculous, but something we could be remembered by. “Don’t say something like ‘If it feels good, do it’, is that how you want to be remembered?” He quipped.
We all laughed about it and for some reason that has stuck with me. Because I like that quote. And not in the way he meant, which was supposed to mean something inappropriate.
I wish I lived by this quote more often. Maybe I can make it my Mantra. Eating greasy pizza and starbucks breakfast, does not feel good. Sitting on the couch all weekend after a night out of drinking also, does not feel good.
Hitting the gym, drinking plenty of water, eating fruits and veggies all day, healthy dinners and gettting a good night’s sleep is what feels good. Reading new books and watching documentaries would feel good rather than watching the Real Housewives rerun I have seen twice already.
Working hard at work rather than browsing tumblr feels good. errr…some of the time.
You get the point. ;)
