Really?!

I tutor teenagers on Wednesday nights and last week there was another tutor sitting with a couple kids helping them out when I overheard him ask:

“What is diversity?”

To which of course I had to chime in “It’s an old wooden ship”

But all I got in return was weird stares and crickets.

The kids are excusable (I guess). I am not sure if Anchorman is age appropriate, although they all watch Jersey Shore religiously and that is way worse.

But the tutor, really?! I told him it was from Anchorman and he replied that he thought he had “maybe seen it once”.

Is this the type of person we want guiding the next generation? I think not.
